Hostas

A perfect hosta leaf rarely survives a single season without a slug finding it first.

Hostas are grown for bold, architectural foliage that’s unfortunately a magnet for slugs and snails, which can shred new growth overnight in spring. Congested clumps can be divided in autumn once they die back, which is also the easiest way to get more plants for free.
