Chillies & Peppers

A single chilli plant left to ripen fully can produce far more heat, and far more fruit, than most people expect from one pot.

Chillies and peppers need a long, warm growing season, so they’re typically the earliest seeds sown of the year, often on a heat mat to germinate reliably. Fruit left to ripen fully to red (rather than picked green) develops more heat and sweetness.
